See is an attractive winter sports resort and is located in the immediate vicinity of the well-known winter sports destination Ischgl. The family-friendly, snow-sure skiing area provides 41 km of perfectly prepared slopes, a 6 km long natural toboggan run and a natural ice rink. In summer, See offers numerous biking and hiking tours as well as it's own swimming lake.
Ischgl is another famous and noble alpine destination. Often it is called as the clearest star in the Austrian Ski Sky. Ischgl is a part of Silvretta Arena and together with the Swiss ski destination Samnau creates a winter paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Silvretta Arena is one of the most modern European ski resort offering wonderful ski runs for skiers of all different levels. The attitude of the ski resort ensure perfectly prepared ski slopes from November until May.

At the entrance of the Paznaun Valley, you are immediately welcomed by the idyllic village of See. From the village, the mountain lifts take snow fans directly to the family's own ski area, which reaches up to the 2,456-meter-high Medrigkopf. Other special attractions include the night ski run, the 6-kilometer-long, lighted natural toboggan run or the natural ice rink in See. In the village, guests will also find après-ski bars.
In summer, See offers hiking enthusiasts a wide selection of trails - for example, to the waterfall of Istalanzbach or to the many quaint chapels located high on the mountainsides. Discover the diverse hiking regions, where numerous alpine cottages equipped with refreshment facilities take care of your physical well-being. An outdoor wellness- and Kneipp park awaits you at the Medrigalm. Gourmets also get their money's worth: numerous award-winning chefs of the region cook for hiking guests at the various mountain huts.


Ischgl
In addition to fantastic snow-sure ski slopes, the world-famous ski resort of Ischgl offers numerous entertainment options. The nightlife is unbeatable. Justifiably, Ischgl is often labelled the "Ibiza of the Alps," a place where the nightlife already begins on the slopes. In the town you will find first-class restaurants ranging from local to international cuisine. In addition, from December 2022, you can relax in the new spa, go shopping, or partake in many other indoor and outdoor sports activities. Every year Ischgl hosts a renowned mountain music festival with many famous stars from all over the world.
The Valley
In Paznaun Valley you can enjoy breathtaking mountain scenery with the clearest mountain air. Besides the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnau, you can ski in See, Kappl, and Galtür. These smaller ski resorts, each respectively providing about 42km of skislopes, offer perfect ski conditions and splendid views over the valley. In Paznaun Valley, the emphasis is put on coziness and fine regional food - for years it has belonged to one of Austria's gourmet regions. In each of the small villages you will find cozy restaurants with a variety of local food and aprés ski bars.
Activities
Ischgl and the neighbouring villages offer various activities during the winter as well as the summer season. Besides skiing and snowboarding, you can enjoy snowshoeing on hiking trails through the untouched mountains. The ski resorts of See and Kappl are the perfect place for alpine ski or snowshoeing high up on the mountains. In addition to a six-kilometer natural toboggan run, See also offers a natural ice rink for ice skating or curling. Between Galtür and Ischgl you will find about 70km of cross-country trails. Among other recommended activities are horse-drawn sleigh rides through the winter wonderland and skyfly ziplining above the slopes of Ischgl. The park stays open also in summer.
The Paznauntal is also worth a visit during the summer season. Hiking through the untouched nature provides the perfect opportunity to relax and recharged one's energy. Numerous rustic mountain chalets and alpine farms provide refreshments and invite you to pause for a while. In the Silvretta Arena, you can enjoy mountain biking on the most challenging trails up on the mountains, or jump into the refreshing water of mountain lakes. Another place worth visiting is Silvretta Park, with its turqouise lake.
